Preheat the oven to 180C
With the electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar together until smooth and fluffy. Beat in the eggs 1 at a time with stirring, then add the flour and baking powder and mix well.
To make the coconuts weight : melt the butter in a pan and add the sugar and coconut, fry until slightly golden. Let to cool, then add the eggs and mix well.
Lightly grease the baking tin, line with baking paper. Place the butter mixture into the tin and arrange the coconuts mixture on the top.
Bake for 40-45 minutes
