This is a very popular dish in Poland. We call it „a la gołąbki ”

Heat the oil in a deep frying pan, add chopped onions. Fry until slightly soft. Then add the mushrooms, minced meat, fry it for a 2 minutes. Toss the chopped cabbage in th frying pan, and fry-stirring about 5 minutes.

Pour in the passata sauce, add bay leaves, hot red  paprika powder, fresh basil. Add the water to almost cover the meat and cabbage. Bring to the boil, season to taste with salt and black pepper. Reduce the heat and simmer about 30 minutes.

Add the cream, stir well. Serve with cooked potatoes or rice.
