These spicy chickpeas is very popular food. Served in pitta packets or tortilla with a colourfull salad, they are deliciously healthy as well as fun to eat.
Salad– In a big bowl mix the salad, carrots, leek, season with lemon juice, olive oil and salt and black pepper. Set aside, for later.
Sauce – mix mayonnaise with ketchup
Chickpeas balls-Put the chickpeas and onion in a blender and process until smooth. Add the lemon juice, garlic, cumin, ground coriander, chilli, egg, flour, fresh coriander and mix well with a spoon. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Leave to chill for 30 minutes.
Flour your hands with the flour and shape the chickpeas mixture into 8 patties. heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the patties for 3 minutes on each side until crips and golden. Drain on kitchen paper. Cover to keep warm.
Heat the tortilla in a microwave, and put on the plate, then add salad, patties and sauce in the center of a tortilla wrap. Wrap the filling and serve immediately.
