During the Christmas time we do a lot of dishes with fish.

Cut the herring into smal slices, chop the beetroot coarsely and dice the gherkins. Chop the ham.  Peel and chop the onion. Peel, core and chop the apple. Chop the hard-boiled eggs.

Mix together all these ingredients .

Mix the mayonnaise, cream together and fold into the salad. Leave to chill for 1 hour.

Serve with bread or rolls.
